A studio founded by Miranda Wilkinson and Nick Griffin built on shared values, mutual respect, empathy, and a desire to do good.
We recognise that truly successful places emerge from deep connections—to natural systems, to community needs, and to cultural context. These four principles guide our work.

We prioritise place and community over designer. By valuing every contributor’s lived experience—from Traditional Owners to local residents—we ensure diverse perspectives shape meaningful outcomes. Our role is to amplify these collective voices, not impose our own.

We listen deeply
before we design
Understanding precedes creation. Through deep engagement with Traditional Owners, communities, and stakeholders, we develop:
Functional Briefs addressing practical needs
Emotive Briefs capturing cultural and sensory connections
This dual approach reveals opportunities others overlook, resulting in spaces that are ecologically resilient, culturally authentic, and emotionally resonant.

We craft landscapes to be felt and experienced—where pathways flow intuitively; seating fosters connection and conversation; and sensory details, from the intimate to the grand, inspires awe, joy, and wonder. Each choice is made with accessibility at its heart, encouraging communities to embrace and make the space their own.

Every decision considers a landscape’s full lifecycle—from ecological resilience to evolving community needs. We specify native plantings that thrive with minimal intervention, select sustainable materials that age gracefully, and incorporate adaptive elements for future reuse. Our systems thinking approach combines precise detailing to create spaces that endure physically and emotionally.
